Hotel Information

By staying at the meeting hotel, you help the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention meet its contractual obligations and keep registration fees reasonable. Please take this into consideration when making your accommodation decision.

*Notice: The Hôtel Bonaventure is sold out for several nights during the meeting. A block of rooms has been created at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel, which is located about a block away from the Hotel Bonaventure.

About the Hôtel Bonaventure Montréal

In the heart of downtown Montréal, Québec, Canada stands the Hôtel Bonaventure Montréal. This unique downtown Montréal hotel offers warm hospitality and exceptional services suited to please guests travelling for many purposes.

Located opposite Montréal Central train station (with an indoor path for easy access) and above Bonaventure metro station, the Hôtel Bonaventure is steps away from major attractions, the business district, and public transportation convenient for all guests.

The Hôtel Bonaventure offers several dining options: Le Castillon, award-winning restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner; Le Belvedere, a bistro bar open for lunch, dinner, and cocktails; Bar Soleil, offering summer poolside dining; and room service.

The Hôtel Bonaventure connects to Montreal's famous "Underground City" (Montréal souterrain), called RÉSO, a network of pedestrian corridors connecting Métro (subway) stations, shopping centers, and office complexes. If you are looking for quick meal options or an informal setting to meet up with colleagues, take advantage of the food court located steps from the hotel.

If you enjoy swimming, you will want to bring your bathing suit for an energizing dip in the year-round heated outdoor pool. The property also offers a fitness facility, business center, and complimentary in-room high-speed internet access when booking though the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention room block.

The Hôtel Bonaventure is a smoke-free property, with the exception of three guest rooms. Please note that fines may apply for violations.

Attendee Rate
The meeting rate is $199 CAD (not to exceed $199 US) for single/double occupancy. This rate is available three days before and three days after the meeting based upon availability. Reservations must be made by June 2, 2015 to secure the meeting rate. For reservation please call 514.878.2332 or toll free within North America, 800-267-2575, and mention that you are with the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention group. You may also reserve your room online.

*Notice* The Hôtel Bonaventure is sold out on the nights of Sunday, June 28 and Tuesday, June 30. A block of rooms has been created at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel. The meeting rate is $199 (CAD) for single/double occupancy. Reservations must be made by Tuesday, June 2 to secure the meeting rate. The Fairmont is located about a block away from the Hotel Bonaventure; approximately a five minute walk. Guests can use the underground walkways or the street level to get between properties.

Student Room Rate
A limited number of rooms have been set aside for students at a reduced rate of $145 CAD for single/double occupancy. This rate is available three days before and three days after the meeting based upon availability. In order to secure this room rate, you will need to make your plans early. Historically, the student room rate sells out well before the reservation deadline date. Please keep in mind that your student ID will need to be shown when checking into the hotel. For reservation please call 514.878.2332 or toll free within North America, 800-267-2575, and mention that you are with the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention group and would like the student rate. You may also reserve your room online.

Government Rate
The current government rate is $210 CAD, which is more expensive than the meeting attendee rate at $199 CAD. Please use the information above to make your reservation at the attendee rate.

Reservation Deadlines and Requirements

You must reserve your room at the Hôtel Bonaventure Montréal prior to June 2, 2015. All rates are subject to applicable taxes, currently 18%. The room rates are based on single/double occupancy. If there will be a third or fourth person in your room, there is an additional charge of $20 per person per night plus tax. There is no charge for children 12 years and under occupying the same room as their parents.

Reservations can be made by calling toll free at 800.267.2575 or direct at 514.878.2332 and telling the reservation office that you are a Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention meeting participant. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. Persons with special needs should inform the hotel when making reservations.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm, and checkout time is 12:00 noon. There are fees associated with a late checkout. Please discuss any late checkout or early check in arrangements when you make your reservation or when you check in to the hotel.

Hotel Amenities

Staying Connected
The Hôtel Bonaventure Montréal offers complimentary wireless internet access in sleeping rooms for Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention attendees. Complimentary wireless internet is available in the lobby area to guests staying at the hotel. Please note that this service is not available in the meeting rooms or the meeting room foyers. Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention meeting attendees will have access to the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention Internet Café during registration hours.

Fitness Center
Featuring Precor equipment, the Hôtel Bonaventure fitness center is open 24-hours and is free of charge for the hotel guests. The outdoor heated pool is open daily from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm.

Business Center
The Hôtel Bonaventure has a full-service business center open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are two Macintosh computers and one PC available for hotel guests, and printing is free of charge.

Printing Your Boarding Pass
Boarding passes can be printed in the Hôtel Bonaventure Business Center.

The Hôtel Bonaventure offers the best in dining: Restaurant-Jardins le Castillon, award-winning restaurant and lounge, features mouthwatering dishes in a cozy atmosphere with its wood burning fireplace; Le Belvédère bar is the ideal place to unwind after a hectic day by enjoying a refreshing cocktail; the Bar Soleil offers summer poolside dining, and provides the ideal vacation feeling; and room service is also available.

Le Belvedere
Le Belvedere bar is nestled in the lobby center and is an ideal location to meet with friends or colleagues for a prolonged cocktail hour.

Serving fine cuisine during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Le Castillon is a sumptuous restaurant. It is the perfect setting for a family, business meal, or romantic dining.
