Student/Postdoctoral Abstract Submission

The Society encourages graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to submit an abstract for presentation during the Annual Meeting. Benefits of submitting an abstract and having it accepted for presentation are:

  • All graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who have their abstract accepted for presentation are eligible for a Travel Award of $500. (Award application is required)
  • All accepted abstracts are published in the Society’s journal, Birth Defects Research. (Late-breaking abstracts are not published.)
  • The top student and postdoctoral abstracts submitted for oral presentation will be assigned to the Student and Postdoctoral Platform session and will compete for the Wilson Presentation Awards.
  • Presenting your work at the Annual Meeting provides an opportunity to interact with established scientists, researchers, and policy makers.
