Taxis provide you with the quickest and most efficient mode of transportation. The approximate cost to the Charleston Marriott is $30 one way. Alternative ride services like Uber and Lyft are also available. All ground transportation services are located outside baggage claim.
Parking at the Charleston Marriott
Parking is available at the Charleston Marriott, self-parking for $6/day and valet parking for $14/day. Please note prices are subject to change.
International Attendance
Attendees from around the globe are welcome. This is a reminder to international travelers to apply for your visa early, three to four months before the travel date, as it can take some time for a response. Travel.State.gov is the official source for visa information for the United States. Contact Society headquarters at BDRP@birthdefectsresearch.org to request a letter of invitation if needed for travel approval.
If you have any problems regarding your visa applications, please report your case to the International Visitors Office of The National Academies by completing their online questionnaire. To help them identify your case, please include the name of our Meeting (Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention 60th Annual Meeting) in the Purpose of Visit field on the questionnaire. The International Visitor's Office can submit inquiries to the US Department of State about the status of visa applications that have been pending for 21 days or more.
