Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Instructions

Whether you have new data to present or were unable to submit your abstract by the regular deadline, you can still submit an abstract for presentation during the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention 66th Annual Meeting taking place June 14 to 17, 2026, in Washington, DC. Submission Deadlines, Assignment, and Publishing Information

Late-breaking abstracts will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with notification sent within 7 to 10 days of submission.

March 16, 2026: Late-breaking abstracts submitted by March 16 will be included in the 66th Annual Meeting Program published in the journal Birth Defects Research.

The final deadline for submission of late-breaking abstracts is June 1, 2026.

June 5, 2026: Accepted late-breaking abstracts will be shared with attendees in the meeting app.

New Poster Size This Year!

Due to the limited space in the poster hall, each poster board will hold two posters on each side. Your poster must not exceed 3.75 feet (45 inches) in height by 3.5 feet (42 inches) in width.

Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Instructions

Whether you have new data to present or were unable to submit your abstract by the regular deadline, you can still submit an abstract for presentation during the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention 66th Annual Meeting taking place June 14 to 17, 2026, in Washington, DC.

Late-breaking abstract submission is easy. Abstracts are submitted electronically using a system that guides you from one easy step to the next. The first step to submit an abstract is to create your ID and password. Please note that the email used during this process will be the email address for all correspondence regarding abstract submission and assignment. Submission is quick and easy.
